What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser to remember information, such as the language or the contents of a booking in progress.
This website uses no cookies of its own
laanarcos.com does not set any cookies of its own or use analytics, advertising or social media tools that set them. The only thing it stores in your browser is a technical marker, containing no personal data, used to animate the transition from a stay’s photo to its page: it is saved in the tab’s memory (sessionStorage) when you click the stay’s card and deleted as soon as the next page opens. That is why we do not show you a cookie notice when you arrive.
Draft · pending legal review
As it is technical storage for an animation that your own click triggers, it does not require your consent (Article 22(2) of the LSSI-CE).
Third-party content
Two pages show content from other services, which may set their own cookies:
| Service | Where and when | Cookies |
|---|---|---|
| Google Maps | On the Contact page, only if you press “Show map”. Until then, no connection is made to Google. | Google’s own, which may be used for analytics and advertising. More information in Google’s cookie policy (opens in a new tab). |
| AvaiBook | On the Booking page, only if you press “See prices”. Until then, no connection is made to AvaiBook. | The booking engine’s cookies, including cf_clearance and __cf_bm (set by Cloudflare to tell humans from bots). The AvaiBook page also loads analytics and advertising tools from Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads) and LinkedIn (bcookie, li_gc, lidc). AvaiBook shows its own cookie notice. Details of each cookie, below. |
The links to Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze, OpenStreetMap and the Arcos Tourism website open those websites in a new tab, and nothing is loaded from them until you click one. The map in the Arcos guide is our own drawing, made with OpenStreetMap data: it loads nothing from outside.

| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
cf_clearance | Cloudflare, on AvaiBook’s website | Records that you have passed the security check | 30 minutes by default (set by AvaiBook) |
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Tells humans from bots | Expires after 30 minutes of inactivity |
bcookie | Identifies the browser, to detect abuse and for diagnostics | 1 year | |
li_gc | Stores whether you accept LinkedIn’s non-essential cookies | 6 months | |
lidc | Chooses the data centre | 24 hours | |
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes users | 2 years |
_ga_<id> | Google Analytics | Keeps the session state | 2 years |
_gcl_… (for example, _gcl_au) | Google Ads | Measures whether someone who clicks on an ad then takes an action, such as a purchase | 90 days |
Cloudflare’s cookies are needed for the engine to work. Google’s and LinkedIn’s are AvaiBook’s analytics and advertising cookies: AvaiBook is responsible for them and informs you in its cookie notice and in its cookie policy (opens in a new tab) (in Spanish). More information on the pages of Cloudflare (opens in a new tab), LinkedIn (opens in a new tab) and Google (opens in a new tab).
[[COMPLETAR: (inglés) cuando AvaiBook confirme que no las instala antes de que se acepten: «They are only set if you accept them in AvaiBook’s notice.»]]
How to delete or block cookies
You can view, delete and block cookies in your browser settings. If you block AvaiBook’s cookies, the booking engine may not work; in that case you can book by phone or by email.
Changes to this policy
If the website starts using other cookies, we will update this page and the date above and, if necessary, ask for your consent before setting them.
